Screw the Saving – It’s Grab a Bag Treat Week
Labels: Treat Week | at 13:37
If you’re anything like me (a mad women trying to scrimp and save as best I can) then you may be finding this month particularly hard to bear. We all have them, those months, weeks or days where we think ‘sod it! I’ve had enough’ – and last weekend I encountered such a day.
I shoved my feet into my ‘comfy’ shoes, grabbed my coat and hit the shops. Now, as any woman will know, finding a bag to budget is one of the hardest tasks on this earth – no kidding and I was about to embark on one of the biggest missions of my life.
First shop on the ‘Hit List’ was my owe so trusty H & M , I absolutely adore this shop and one of the main reasons why, is that it offers all the contemporary clothing and accessories typically found in Top Shop for half the price – so why shop anywhere else?
Unfortunately, much to my dismay, H &M let me down. Aside from seeing a gorgeous dress, which I could definitely tempt myself to buy, I didn’t stumble across a dream bag that I have been having hot flushes for. However, upon entering the little treasure chest which is an accurate description for T. K. Maxx and all those designer gems it has hidden away – my hand (in amidst a rampart search) happen to find a large, gorgeous, crème and pink Firorelli bag, with pearl clasp and everything. The best bit is? It was £35.00 down from £79.00, Oh, My.
It has literally not left my side, and from this day on I truly believe that T. K. Maxx is a bargain hunters dream shop. So, if you like me are shopping for a treat and a strict (ish) budget, then the following shops are a must;
· H & M - although it failed me this time it’s often a real beauty for offering a great choice of clothing and accessories at great prices to match.
· The Wardrobe (Leicester) - A great little shop just off the high street, it was really quirky stuff that I absolutely adore
· ASOS - always seems to have a clearance or sale section no matter the time of year, so keep your eyes peeled.
So my fellow fashion/bargain enthusiast get searching, and if you find any tips let me know won’t you!
